Your and My Day

So, with the help of a suggestion from my sis Meg, I decided to begin to carry on an old Eddy tradition. Your and My Day. Today was A's first. He didn't quite understand it. I told him to pick out some things that he wanted to do with just him and I. He kept asking me what I thought we should do. But you all must understand, this is NOT how your and my day works. The kid gets to pick out what to do. Meg came over to watch Baby C, so she wouldn't take my attention away from A. A has known about this for about a week, and of course each morning he would wake up and say, "Is today your day and my day"? (Note to self: don't tell a 3 year old ANYTHING unless you want to hear about it over and over and over again!).

So all he could come up with was the pet store and the toy store. We usually go to PetSmart, so this time we went to Petland, which has more animals. I really hate seeing those puppies confined to the little crates. If they weren't so expensive, I would've added another member to our family!
Then I had to help him out a little bit.......we went to Walmart to look at pool toys. I was very disappointed in the selection. We found a dinosaur in the toy section for $1. That will have to work as a pool toy.
Then it was off to Brilliant Sky, our little indy toy shop in Blakeney. I have been there several times. This time I was much more impressed with the selection. They still don't have Plan Toys, but maybe soon. Habba is a good start. We probably spent a solid hour there looking at toys and playing with them too!!!
We will see what little A comes up with next Your and My Day. Thanks Meg!
