Afternoon Rituals

Clarke and I walk to the bus stop to get Ar every afternoon. Sometimes its in the wagon, sometimes the stroller, and I did let her walk one time.  I have an alarm set on my phone everyday to remind me to stop everything and get ready for the short walk.  When Clarke hears the alarm, I tell her its time to get brother from the bus! She starts saying, "gotta go!".
We walk to the bus stop and she always likes to get out of the wagon or stroller or whatever her mode of transportation is for that day.  When I hear the bus coming I make her get back in.  She gets so excited she cannot contain herself! She starts shaking and has the biggest smile on her face.  Today she started waving as soon as she saw the bus.  The bus driver started waving back at her.  They waved at each other for a long while. So cute. Thanks bus driver!!
We get home and take off our shoes and while Ar goes to wash his hands, I take his bookbag and see whats inside.  I am always anxious to see what he did in class that day! Clarke always gets his lunchbox. She opens it up to see if he has eaten everything or not.  Whatever is left, she thinks is hers.  Lately there hasn't been anything left.  Well, today there was 1/2 of a sandwich, some potato chips and some candy corn.  She was in heaven.  She opened up the chips right away and went to town.  I must say that Sardis sure did train Arlen well.  He NEVER eats his dessert until he has finished everything else.  They were big about having the preschoolers eat their "healthy" items first.  I wonder how long this will last......

Enjoy those rituals. All too soon you'll be marrying off your babies and your house will be so quiet...Yes, that would be our house now. We pray for your family daily. Much love, Aunt Judy
