Locks

So, with our ump-teen projects to do in the new house (well, most of them done by J), we have come across something that really bothers us! We had to purchase a new lock for the back door, because it wouldn't lock. Well, they have these NEW emergency locks, that allow you to get out quickly. In our opinion they CAUSE emergencies. From the inside, you think the door is unlocked. Then you go outside and try to come back in. THE DOOR IS LOCKED! YOU HAVE JUST LOCKED YOURSELF OUT!!! Please tell me how this can be a good thing?
