SHE'S here!!

Clarke Elizabeth Campbell came to us on March 18th, 2009 at 1:33pm. She weighed in at 8lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long. I cannot believe we made it to 40 weeks and 2 days. It was an induction, so we went in at 7am that morning. We got there, got signed in and all the paperwork done. They started Pitocin about 8:30, broke my water at 9:15, I got an epidural at 11am and had her at 1:33pm!!! The doctor came in for us to start pushing at about 1:25, and she was out 8 minutes later! It was very nice to go in for a scheduled induction. We were showered, make up on, and READY! It still makes me wonder when she would've chosen to come out and join us, but we will never know that! I was having contractions about every 5 minutes when we got there and was dilated to 4cm. However, I had been having contractions for 3 weeks or so.

It was absolutely amazing not to know what sex she was! Thank you J! And I am very sorry to have picked on you for 9 months about choosing to not find out. I would totally do it that way again! When they said "It's a GIRL" I didn't believe it! I looked at her genitalia before I looked at her face!!! For at least the first week, I continued to call her "it". That is what she was called for 9 mos! I think I am finally getting it down that I have a girl, and that SHE is ours.

We love our beautiful girl!!!

She is so precious. I love all that hair. Enjoy every bit of her tiny-ness, they grow so very fast.
