Five months ago we were wondering who this little girl was going to be! My days were filled with feeding and pumping and changing diapers, going to the doctor every week or so, trying to find time to spend with my 3 year old and feeling helpless around the house!
For the most part all of those tiring things have become easier! I have a friend that has said on multiple occasions, "How do you get 2 kids ready and out of the house? I can hardly do one!". With time, everything gets easier. I think 5 months is the magic mark! I physically feel close to prepregnancy, minus the backaches (which I think is just a result of carrying a baby around on my hip and the 2 boulders that sit on my chest), and I am actually getting some decent rest! C sleeps (hopefully I'm not jinxing myself) from about 9p-6 or 7a each night.

Clarke Elizabeth is beginning to show us who she is going to be! She is a very loud little baby. She makes sure that you know where she is at all times! Just this week I have started to put my finger over my lips and "shhhh" her. She just laughs at me! She has 3 very distinctive cries. Hunger, Hurt, and Tired. A was not at all this way. You had to figure out what he wanted. She also must be entertained at all times. She has to have a toy to play with. A could have been happy just looking at the ceiling. C MUST have something to "do". And she still loves, loves, LOVES to stand! I am beginning to wonder if she has a cry or "fuss" for that too! The exersaucer fulfills that need most of the time! Developmentally she is sitting up for up to 20 minutes or so at a time, and getting up on all fours.....wanting so badly to crawl, just not quite there yet.

Sometimes I feel that she is growing up too fast! I feel like she's only been around for a short time, but then I don't remember those days of A being the only. They are so cute toward each other. He is always asking where she is and she is always looking around for him. He spent the night at GG's last week, and in the am I could tell that C was looking around for him! Too cute.

She is so precious. Hopefully I will get to see her soon.
