We have been so thrilled with J's new working from home schedule! Tuesday and Wednesday he has to go into the office, but Monday, Thursday and Friday he goes to work down the hall in our bonus room! This saves him a 40 minute commute in the morning and up to an hour commute in the evening! He also gets to sleep in an hour later! He can even work in his PJS if he desires. We did have to buy a new space heater, b/c the bonus room is FREEZING, he had to build a few extra shelves for his equipment, and we had to change our internet service. The internet costs an extra $20 a month, but its well worth it in gas and time. Its so nice for him to be "home" at 5:00!
I was really worried about how things would go with the kids being home during the day while he was working upstairs. The first 2 days I felt like I was going around the house ALL day saying shhhh, be quiet, and Arlen you're being TOO loud!!!! But after several tests, we really can't be heard. So, I've gotten used to the fact that we can pretend that he's not here. I also love to see him several times during the day when he takes a break. And on Fridays, as long as we are home, we can ALL 4 eat lunch together!!
Working from home is turning out to be so much better than I expected after all! Shortly they are shooting for 5 days a week from home! How nice!!!

So cool! It is nice to have them pop in and out isn't it? Landon can do that from time to time too. Lunch dates are the BEST!
