Lots of things are happening around here!
1. We are expecting another Crazy Campbell in January! We are so excited! So far the pregnancy is moving right along. Today I am 18 weeks and 5 days. I definitely have a little baby bump and am starting to feel the baby move around, if I stop to think about it. I was terribly nauseous until about 15-16 weeks. That has subsided for the most part, however my breakfast didn't stay down yesterday! I seem to have gotten my energy back, but still need to go to bed no later than 10 it seems!!! The big ultrasound is scheduled for September 16th. We haven't yet decided if we are going to find out what we are having then, or wait until the baby comes in January!!
2. Arlen has started kindergarten!! Wow. Big milestone. We are still adjusting. His bus comes at 7am. This means we have to get up at 6 am, since he is such a slow eater!! And yes, I let him ride the bus!! Scary, I know. But he is the last bus stop in the am, so I would have to leave probably earlier than when it comes, to get through carpool line to get him there. In the afternoon he is the last stop as well, but the school bell rings at 1:45 and he is off of the bus at 2:05!!! So again, saving time, being green, and if C is napping, I can leave her in her crib since J works from home!! He thinks that he is SO big riding the bus too. It's cute. If C goes to the stop with me in the afternoon she is so excited to see him and runs up to him with her arms spread wide for a big hug! I've got to get this on video or something!!
So after the first real day of school, A had a complete meltdown that night. We didn't get him into bed until 8:30 the night before because we had to go find out who his teacher was from 6-7p for an open house at his school. Then we came home, ate, took baths, read books, and IT WAS 8:30!!!!!!!!!!
So Tuesday night we were eating dinner around 6pm (our usual time unless something is in the way) and he couldn't even eat. His eyes hurt. His head hurt. His throat hurt. He had a huge meltdown. Finally, I excused him from the table, took him upstairs, threw him in the bathtub (gave him a nice head massage in the water), brushed his teeth for him and put him in bed. He didn't even want me to read to him (which never happens, he's always asking for another book). Looked up at the clock.... 6:53pm....whoa.....I think that was a first!! And he slept soundly until 6am!! Much needed rest. I have to keep telling myself that this is just as big of an adjustment for him as it is for me!!
3. Arlen started playing SOCCER!!! Of course the evaluations had to be the first week of school! So yesterday we went for him to be evaluated to see what team he will be on. I think there were like 175 U6 Boys there that had signed up. ( U6= under 6 yrs old). They are wanting 9 players per team. At this age they play 3 on 3, which I think is great because it gives each player the opportunity to touch the ball during the games. He was a little shy, because he has never played any sport before, but jumped right in and started running around with the other boys! I really can't wait. The Charlotte Soccer Academy (previously South Charlotte Soccer Assoc) seems like a great rec league to play for!! He will have 8 practices and 8 games!! We cannot wait! Oh yeah....he thought the shinguards and the cleats were the coolest things ever!!
4. Last but not least..........ITS TIME TO SHOP FOR A MINIVAN!! Ahhh!! Yes, the girl who said she would NEVER drive a minivan has been defeated. Not 100 % sure yet, but it only makes since. As of right now, I cannot carpool whatsoever, and come January, our whole family will not be able to ride in one car!! 3 carseats just don't quite fit in the Altima. The Jetta seems to be holding on for now and a great commuter car, so we get to keep it (yay! i would have a hard time parting with my little red Jett). Tomorrow night it is.....minivan shopping here I come! (Oh yeah....I got a soccer magnet for the van :) ).
Sorry for a long update.......pictures to come.......I promise!!!

First of all congrats on the new addition come January. I had been told you were preggers. And your mom said you were doing great. Kindergarten is a huge energy sapper on kids the first couple weeks of school. So don't be surprised if he can barely get off the bus and have a snack. Mine crashed quite often after they got off, and took a nap before supper, and still slept well. I totally agree on the bus! It is my lifesaver from the craziness of parent drive at MPES. There are parents who go and sit for half an hour waiting on school to get out. Then the line takes forever. We timed it one afternoon and the bus was way faster. Mine are the next to the last ones on at 7:45 and some of the first ones off at 3:20 (school is from 8:15 to 3). I hope you can get C on video because that would be so precious. I was told she stole the show at the wedding! :)
a soccer magnet for the minivan?!?! do i know you? JK.. cant to meet #3! love you guys :)
